| The launch
throughout Europe and North America of the "Hose Doctor Service",
in partnership with Parker Certified Distributors, allows Hyphose
to strengthen the convenience
aspect of the services they provide to their customers, by adding
a mobile service to provide emergency hose and connector replacement. The "Hose Doctor Service", a concept created in the seventies in New Zealand and Australia, is based on a fleet of mobile vans managed by the Parker Certified Distributor network. These vehicles guarantee customers an on-site breakdown service within the hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Times have changed and production requirements of the majority of customers have evolved drastically. The pressure of lead times and costs, the reduction or even the elimination of stocks as well as the farming out of repair and maintenance functions transform down-time caused by a machine breakdown into a serious handicap for the company resulting in a major loss of earnings. The simple bursting of a hose may paralyse an entire production unit. In parallel, at the other end of the chain, consumer behaviour has undergone a deep change in that they want everything without delay and without making any concession in terms of product quality or service. In this context, the "Hose Doctor Service" is a relevant answer to the new needs of the market. By achieving the repair on site within 1 hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Parker "Hose Doctor Service" thus becomes an essential guarantee of productivity for all customers. Hyphose has incorporated with this service all the characteristics that constitute the quality and reliability of the Parker products and services. Each vehicle is a true mobile workshop containing over 600 different hose couplings and adaptor parts as well as the necessary hydraulic hose and oil. Each is also fitted with a 2 inch capacity press. The defective products are always replaced with genuine Parker products, as specified and used by most major construction equipment manufacturers. On board each mobile workshop, a qualified technician, trained by Parker, is on hand to advise the customer and perform the work required. He can carry out preventive maintenance operations on-site and the Hyphose Hose Doctor Service has achieved ISO 9002 certification. |
