About Hyphose
After 28 years of consistent growth and success, Hyphose has become firmly established as a leading supplier in the fluid and air industry in the South of England.
Founded in January 1980 at Holton Heath, Poole, by Brian Grinter, we are an ISO 9001:2000 and
MOD approved company with branches in POOLE, SOUTHAMPTON,
and
PORTSMOUTH, as well
as a fleet of mobile ON SITE REPAIR SERVICE VANS.
As part of the company's continuing expansion programme,
our Head office and Poole Branch moved to new purpose-built freehold
premises
on Nuffield Industrial Estate, Poole, during the summer of 1999. These premises
provide easy access and parking for customers and 10,000 square feet
of warehouse and
office space. It has also enabled the company to centralise its stock
and
supply its other branches from Poole. 
All
the branches have well established ParkerStore trade counters, where
hose assemblies
are made on a "while
you wait" basis.
ParkerStore has over 1,000 locations worldwide and is the latest concept in marketing the Parker range of hydraulic and pneumatic products.
The Parker products are situated out with the customer and show the latest Parker technology in the air and fluid power industry.
New and existing customers that visit the Hyphose ParkerStore can see and handle the product and benefit from the expertise and advise of staff that have excellent product knowledge.
All branches have their own delivery vehicles and in addition the daily inter-branch van enables stock to be redirected at short notice.
Hyphose Poole is under the management of Keith Pullen, Hyphose Southampton is managed by Steve Whitehead and Hyphose Portsmouth by Mark Rogers.
By concentrating on our chosen area of specialisation and maintaining an ever increasing share of the market over the past 28 years, Hyphose is now in the position where we can offer our customers single sourcing of high quality products, by providing the best ranges of couplings along the south coast, as well as a comprehensive range of hydraulic, water, air, steam and chemical hoses.
The coupling terminations stocked meet global demand for different thread configurations and include American SAE and JIC, German DIN, French GAZ, British BSP and all Japanese threads.
Principal industries supplied by Hyphose are food, farming, construction and marine, as well as machinery manufacturers, factory maintenance and the Ministry of Defence.
Further development of this growing market share is the responsibility of Sales Manager Jeff Rippon who liaises closely with customers, discusses their needs, and introduces new products as appropriate.
Spring
2000 saw the start of a new venture for Hyphose when, in response
to the changing needs of our customers, we
started a 24 hour/7day ON-SITE
MOBILE HOSE REPAIR SERVICE.
We operate eight Hose Doctor vans which provide a fast on-site 'within
the hour' replacement hydraulic hose service.
Each Van is a fully equipped mobile workshop and carries a full range of
Parker hose and connectors and can manufacture high-pressure hoses up to
two inch bore on site. The Hyphose Hose Doctor vans form the southern arm
of the Parker Hose Doctor network that operates across the UK, 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.
Hyphose is dedicated to providing the best in customer service. Speed and efficiency are all key parts of our service and we are geared to provide a fast and accurate response with most items being dispatched on the same day the order is received, using either the company's own vehicles, overnight carriers or customer collection.
With a permanent computer link between all the branches, staff can obtain immediate up-to-date information on stock levels held at the other sites and, if necessary, call upon the daily inter-depot van to collect from one of them.
An appreciation and understanding of our customers' needs and of the urgency with which requests must be fulfilled in order to reduce non-productive and expensive downtime, has helped Hyphose to create and maintain a continually expanding level of business and a growing portfolio of satisfied customers.
As well as placing great emphasis on our level of service, Hyphose is concerned about maintaining the quality of the products we supply. All three branches and our hose doctor vans work to very strict quality procedures in accordance with our ISO 9001:2000 registration, and this is applied to our whole system from initial stock ordering to final testing and delivery to the customer, to ensure that our customers gain the maximum service life from our products.
This, coupled with the high level of personal service, the maintenance of high stock levels and fast reliable delivery service, is instrumental in Hyphose's history of success and will remain the key factors in our continued growth.
